A Few Tips

- Bring proof of military service or valid ID (e.g., veteran ID, VA card, uniform, discharge papers) — most offers require it.

11/11 (11:30am – 9:00pm) – Mazza’s Restaurant in Mount Vernon will honor all veterans and active-duty military on Tuesday, November 11th with a FREE Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner!
11/11 (11am): Veterans Day Ceremony / Head to the National Veterans Memorial and Museum to honor and celebrate the selfless service of millions of Veterans who have defended our freedoms. With featured speaker, actor Matthew Modine, and an accompanying exhibition showcasing his photography while on the set of “Full Metal Jacket,” this event promises to be both moving and memorable. 11/11 (11am): Veterans Day Ceremony / Veterans Memorial Park in Gahanna
Join us for a heartfelt Veterans Day Ceremony honoring the brave men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces. The event will feature speeches, patriotic music, and a moment of silence to reflect on their sacrifice and service.
11/11 (8:30am – 10am): Veterans Breakfast / Join fellow community members to honor local heroes on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 8:30-10 a.m. at the annual Veterans Breakfast at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Community Center (350 N. Cleveland Ave.)–free for veterans with a valid ID and $15 for general admission
Here are some national offers for veterans and active-duty service members this week for Veterans Day (Nov 11) — you’ll want to check with your local participating locations for availability, times & ID requirements.
National Offers
● Applebee’s: Veterans and active duty receive a free full-size entrée from a select menu on Nov 11
● IHOP: On Nov 11, veterans & active duty get a free “Red, White & Blueberry Pancake Combo” (dine-in) when presenting military ID.
● Krispy Kreme: Free doughnut and coffee for veterans & active duty on Nov 11 at participating U.S. locations (in-store or drive-thru) with proof of service.
● Texas Roadhouse: Veterans & active-duty can dine in Nov 11 or receive a meal voucher (valid for a future date) at participating locations from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., with valid military ID.
● Firehouse Subs: On November 11, active-duty military personnel and veterans can enjoy any size sub and receive a second sub for free with valid military ID.
● Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty military guests can enjoy a complimentary Red’s Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Side when dining in at participating restaurants on November 11.
● Bob Evans: Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal from a select menu on November 11th – Dine-In only
● White Castle: Veterans and active-duty military get a free individual combo meal or a breakfast combo meal when dining at a participating restaurant on November 11.
● Starbucks: Starbucks is honoring those who have served with a free tall (12-ounce) brewed coffee (hot or iced) for veterans, military service members and military spouses at participating U.S. stores and licensed locations on November 11.
● Sheetz: On November 11, Sheetz invites all veterans and active duty military personnel to enjoy a free half turkey sub and a regular size fountain drink at any of Sheetz’s 800+ store locations. The offer includes extras & add-ons to the sub.
○ Sheetz will also provide a free car wash to veterans and active duty military. This offer only applies to the $9 car wash option and is only available at Sheetz stores that have a car wash. Military ID or proof of service must be presented to qualify
