The Licking Valley FFA 34th Annual Auction, March 28th has been Cancelled.

 The Granville Rotary Club has announced that it’s 2020 Taste of Granville food and wine event scheduled for Saturday, April 25, is cancelled. Ohio Department of Job & Family Services phone system is overloaded and they are asking people, whenever possible, to use their web page ‘unemployment.OHIO.gov’ to sign up for unemployment benefits.

The Heath Lion’s Club Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled for April 11th in Geller Park in Heath is Cancelled.

The Licking County Humane Society’s Fund Raiser ‘The Fur Ball’ has been cancelled.

Licking County Domestic Relations Court, 75 East Main St., Newark, has temporarily suspended public access until April 17. The court has canceled all oral in-person hearings and trials except for civil protection orders and other emergency matters as the court may deem necessary.

City of Newark Cemetery & Parks Office will be closed to walk ins and all shelter houses and banner reservations will be done over phone or via email between Monday and April 15. All funerals will be scheduled as usual and lot sales will be by appointment only. Fishing permit requirements will be waived until May 1.

The Licking County Auditor’s office is now closed to the public. The office will be staffed and continue to provide service via internet, phone and email.

Licking County governmental services are Open, however the County Commissioners are encouraging people to utilize on-line and telephone services.  go to ‘lcounty.com’ for information about all county government offices.

The Licking County Aging Program is closing Heritage Hall Senior Center and all Eight congregate meal sites through April 3rd, those that usually attend will be converted to home delivered meals – Medical transport, personal care, chore, adult daycare and smilemaker services will continue to operate as normal.

Licking Memorial Hospital has a drive through corona virus clinic at 131 McMillen Drive, for people that may have had possible contact with an infected person or are showing symptoms of the virus, which include fever, cough, shortness of breath and muscle pain or fatigue. Bring a physicians order and your photo ID its open Monday through Friday noon to 5.

Newark Division of Fire has locked down their firehouses. No family or outside people will be permitted beyond their front door. Only people vital to their mission or those in need of medical attention will be allowed access.

Hebron Police Department will close its lobby in an effort to limit contact. The agency said they’ll take reports via phone for minor complaints and calls that don’t require a response on the scene. Payments to Hebron’s Mayor’s Court should be made via mail, the drop box outside the municipal building, or online.

The Licking County Engineer’s Office and Licking County Highway Department has closed to the public until further notice. All permits, deeds, etc. should be emailed directly to the Engineer’s Office at efb@lcounty.com.

The Licking County Clerk of Court’s Title Offices in Newark and Pataskala will remain open with limited staffing. The New Albany Title Office will temporarily be closed.

The March 26 Newark Development Partners meeting has been canceled. The next NDP meeting is scheduled for noon April 23 at the Historic Arcade in downtown Newark.

The Licking County Library is closed until further notice. The closure includes all meeting rooms, bookmobile service and home bound delivery. D ue dates have been extended and book drops will be locked. The library system is fine free and materials will not be due the days they are closed.

The Newark Salvation Army food pantry will operate 1 to 3 p.m…Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Bags will be more standardized and delivered to the car or person waiting. The pantry will not be allowing clients inside to pick out orders.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be Take Out only.

The Heath Police will be handling all ‘non emergency’ situations by telephone at (740) 522-2141. This is non emergency situations only. For emergencies continue using 911.

The City of Heath has suspended all in-person customer assistance at the municipal building. There will be no walk-up tax service provided. No utility bill payments, account openings, or any other transactions will be taken in-person at the city office area. Passport processing also is suspended.

The Licking County Coalition for Housing has closed it’s lobby and will serve clients and the public by telephone at (740) 345-1970…ext 200.

True Core Federal Credit Union has closed their lobbies. Banking operations will continue online and by telephone at (740) 345-6608.

The Works is closed to the public…now through April 6.

Granville’s Wildwood Park including the playground, Raccoon Valley Park, and McPeek Lodge are closed till further notice and all plans for Spring Sports are suspended through April 5th.

Licking County LEADs is switching their HEAP application process to mail or email operation. If you need help with utility bills contact them at LEAD SCAA dot org or drop off a note in their mail slot at 160 Wilson Street Newark.

Licking Knox Goodwill has cancelled their “awards of Excellance Meeting” , “Priceless Dresses giveaway”, “Pony Express Spring Session” and All Home Donation Services.

CTEC Technical Honor Society Induction and Senior day, March 18th have both been cancelled.

The Licking County Chamber About Town event in Granville on March 25 has been postponed. A future date has not yet been announced.

The Buckeye Valley Family YMCA (formerly Licking County) is closed until further notice.
Knox County Home & Garden show is cancelled for this weekend.

Knox Public Health and Knox Community Hospital have a call-line for Knox County residents to talk directly with a medical professional about their symptoms and concerns. The call-line number will released Wednesday morning and will be operation from 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday.

Look Up Center has closed their facility, calls for assistance can be made by telephone.

Fairfield County

The Fairfield 33 Development Alliance has postponed its Career Readiness Expo, which was scheduled for April 1

EMA has canceled its NWS Weather Spotter Training that was scheduled for March 25

The Fairfield County Board of Commissioners postponed its annual State of the County Address until Sept. 24.

The Olivedale Senior Center canceled: Pancake breakfast on March 18 and fish fry on March 24

The Lancaster Community Chorus concert “Music of John Rutter” scheduled for March 29 has been canceled.

The 15th Annual Mammoth Indoor Garage Sale scheduled for March 21 at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds has been postponed until a new date can be secured.

Muskingum County

Dog and Jog 5K Animal Shelter benefit for March 21 is cancelled.

The Zanesville Host Lions Club’s baked steak dinner postponed until March 28.

City Schools Hall of Fame banquet scheduled for April 4 has been postponed.

Perry County Chamber banquet postponed until April 20.
The Perry County Library System is closed.

Zanesville Museum of Art has suspended all programs, events, and classes through at least the beginning of April.

Muskingum County Library System has closed all locations. All programs are cancelled through March 31.

Big Brothers Big Sisters has suspended the Lunch Buddies program due to the school closings, but is collecting food to distribute to children that count on free breakfast and lunch.

Genesis HealthCare System has changed its visiting hours and visitation policy. The new visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Only one visitor per patient will be allowed.

Knox County

Knox County Animal Shelter Shelter will be closed to the public beginning March 18, 2020. Essential service will still be provided. For immediate needs call 740-393-6713

City of Mount Vernon: all City facilities will be closed to the general public.

Mount Vernon City Council program has been cancelled until further notice

Dogs of Knox Paws and Pasta event has been cancelled, will be rescheduled.

Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County All locations will be for an indefinite duration.

Pheasants Forever Youth Field Day has been postponed until August.

Mount Vernon Baseball Association All official Little League practices, games and events suspended until April 6.

Mount Vernon Grand Ball Spring Ball has been cancelled.
