EASY PINECONE BROWNIE RECIPE

These pinecone brownies are a super unique treat to make for the holidays! They’re super easy to make, and they look just like little pinecones!

You can grab a box of brownie mix and follow the directions, or you can make your own from scratch!

What You’ll Need:

  • Brownies
  • Chocolate Cereal – To make the outer layer of this pinecone brownie recipe, I used Premier Protein (Chocolate almond cereal) or you can use ChocapicĀ cereal. You can also make these pinecone brownies with almonds!
  • Melting Chocolate – To stick your cereal pieces on and give it and extra-chocolatey pizazz
  • Powdered Sugar – dusting the finished pinecone brownies with a little powdered sugarĀ (also called icing sugar) gives them a super festive, snowy look just like real pinecones!

How to Prepare:
Prepare brownies according to package directions or recipe instructions, and let it cool slightly. Cut into 12 even bars.

Hands shaping a brownie base into a rough oval, forming the foundation of a pinecone brownie. The rich chocolate texture is highlighted in the close-up.

Press each warm brownie into an egg shape and set aside.

When you’re ready to decorate your pinecones, you’ll want to melt your chocolate and coat one brownie piece at a time. This will be the “glue” for your “pinecone pieces.” Press chocolate cereal pieces about halfway into the sides of each pinecone shape, starting at the bottom and working up.

Hint: Be careful when pressing in the cereal pieces — they can easily break!

Finish your dessert by adding powdered sugar on top to give it a frosted, snowy touch.
