CPD Investigating

A Columbus man is accused of killing his girlfriend, dismembering her and scattering her body parts throughout an apartment complex.

Columbus police say 50-year-old Robert Knight has been charged with murder in the death of 44-year-old Tracey Moore.

They say she died four days ago in the apartment the couple shared.

Police say they were called to the scene Thursday night after a maintenance worker fished what he thought might be body parts from a pond and employees found other parts in a trash bin.

Police have not commented on a motive.
