A New Straitsville man was indicted in Perry County Court Thursday morning on an attempted murder charge for shooting his mother in the face.

19-year-old Michael Callis was also indicted on a charge of felonious assault with a firearm.

Last month police say Callis shot his mother, Kristina Boring, in a dispute over a computer.

Callis is scheduled to be arraigned next week.
