A Newark woman is expected to change her plea after allegedly stealing from a local organization.

Court records indicate 67-year-old Karen Ray will appear in court July 6th to change her plea and be sentenced for embezzling funds from the Licking County Genealogical Society.

Newark Police accuse Ray of diverting funds from the society to her personal checking account on nine occasions.

The amount embezzled is allegedly over $4000.

Ray was indicted on March 27th for one count of theft.
