A driver with a truck of cardboard lost control of the semi on the Cherry Valley Road Bridge, north of Reddington Road just before 3pm Wednesday.

The trucks fuel tank burst causing at least 50 gallons of diesel to spill into Raccoon Creek, prompting a call to the Hazardous Materials team.

One person was transported to Licking Memorial Hospital.

Cherry Valley Road between Route 16 and Reddington Road is closed and barricades were set up to block people from traveling southbound on Cherry Valley.

Only residents and people staying at the Cherry Valley Lodge will be able to pass through the area.

In May of 2007 a driver died after his truck tanker truck went off the same bridge.
