Congressman Zack Space announced Wednesday that the Licking County Regional Airport Authority has received a $109,000 grant to improve airport safety.

The grant money will be used to remove buildings that are an obstruction, increasing visibility and overall safety at the Newark-Heath airport.

The airport’s grant is being funded by the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program.
