A London woman is suing New Albany-based retailer Abercrombie and Fitch for allegedly discriminating against her because she has a prosthetic arm.
22-year-old Riam Dean says she was told she was breaking the company’s “look policy” and was asked to work in the stockroom.
Abercrombie and Fitch said in a statement that it has an anti-discrimination policy, and that Dean’s description of the incident is not accurate.
In 2004, the clothing retail company spent $50 million to settle employment discrimination lawsuits throughout the United States.
