A settlement has been reached between the Licking Heights Board of Education and former Superintendent Ernest Husarik.

The board voted 4-1 in February 2008 to fire Husarik.

He remained with the district until May 30th, after losing a lawsuit that sought to keep him from being fired and being replaced.

He then filed another lawsuit saying the board breached his three year contract and asked for 174-thousand dollars plus legal fees.

Turmoil started when Husarik was asked to resign in 2007 due to what the board called performance issues.

Terms of the settlement have not been released.
